Beschreibung
score Comprised within the framework of a classical four-movement structure, Symphony No. 2 follows a line chosen by the composer in her last works. Generally speaking, this line marks a tendency to create the greatest emotional tension which would be capable of producing sublime experience in the listener, moving him and bringing the music closer to his emotions. Compared to the Violin Sonata No. 4 Bacewicz’s Second Symphony is more optimistic, especially in the Scherzo and the Finale, in which the conflicts of the Symphony are relieved in the mighty Coda, whereas a certain dramatic quality is characteristic of both the first and the second movements. Bacewicz’s Symphony No. 2 is capable of arousing the listener’s interest and impressing him strongly. Besetzung: Großes Orchester, ohne Solisten, Orchester ohne Solist, Orchesterwerke Schwierigkeit: 0
